Real Couples | Mel & Sam

My inquiry from them said “Starbright Farm, May 28th, we would love to work with you”. Star Bright Farms?! What is this place, I had never heard of it. Friends, it is where my country loving heart goes to get recharged. The property is completely breathtaking! This beautiful couple will say “I do” there so soon!! They actually live in California which has added an extra layer to their wedding planning. Luckily Mel is very easy going and is so ready to marry her man!

1) How did you two meet?

We met on match.com, he winked at me, we exchanged emails, and then we began skyping. We both were displaced from Hurricane Sandy so it stopped us from meeting in person for a while. Once our homes got rebuilt we were able to go on our first date where it was love at first sight.

2) How did he propose?

He proposed in Santorini Greece. We were on a moped out to watch the sunset and he pulled over to a cliff and pretended to want to take pictures and started to get down on one knee to propose! We spent the rest of the night celebrating with the locals in Greece.

3) What do you think will be your favorite part of the wedding day?

I think my favorite part of the wedding day will be walking down the aisle and seeing him there waiting for me along with partying with all our favorite friends and family!

4) Can you provide planning advice to brides in the thick of it right now?

My advice to brides would be to enjoy the ride!  It is a marathon not a sprint when it comes to planning. Don’t get stressed out. It will all happen, especially if they have Sara! (I did not tell her to write that) 🙂
