Kate and Alan got engaged on a volcano in Iceland….Iceland! I knew after talking to them that their wedding day would be just as magical and romantic as that proposal. They did not disappoint!

Kate and I worked together for almost a year brainstorming and preparing all the details of her day. The sage, ivory, and blush details spilled beautifully into the grounds at Walkers Overlook, there were touches of rustic, and an invitation suite that mimicked the tree in the background of the ceremony. After the guests had burned off their dinners dancing the night away they were surprised with a cookie bar as a their wedding favor–it was a hit! No really, there were no cookies left!

A wonderful note worth mentioning-this was my first wedding that was AHEAD of schedule. Say what?! (Kudos to my awesome vendor team!) The day never felt rushed and Kate and Alan had ample opportunities to take portraits (thank you First Look). Congrats newlyweds! It was a gorgeous day!
