Wow, as I typed out the title of this blog post it occurred to me how many weddings I had at private homes last year! No wonder I was so exhausted by the end of the season! Sarah and Tanner can tell you how special it is to get married at your home but the amount of work it takes is insane! You have to worry about power, bathrooms, water supply, renting everything, scheduling set-up and break down….the list goes on and on! But you never leave your wedding venue! You have made memories on your property that will be there for all time and that is worth all the extra work!
If you remember from this post Sarah and Tanner had a Quaker ceremony. I was so excited to witness this and it truly was one of the most beautiful ceremonies I have ever attended. The audience was engaged and thoughtfully a part of their happily ever after! Sarah took photos with her horses & dogs, Tanner’s Eastern Shore roots were represented by an oyster bar, the flowers were cut locally (just down the street!) & friends helped to arrange them, Mom baked all the desserts on hand…there were so many meaningful details to this wedding!
