In case you didn’t read their intro post (here), Bettina and JP got engaged at The Inn at Perry Cabin. St. Michael’s has always held a special place in their love story so it was only fitting that their wedding reception would take place at the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum.
These two have some of the kindest hearts, ever. Bettina and JP are seriously the sweetest and most thoughtful people. Their families were hilarious (Grandma got on stage with the band…it was awesome)! I think, more than anything, I loved their “go with the flow” attitudes. You see, two days before their wedding there was a threat of a Hurricane coming up the coast. Gourmet by the Bay were total rockstars keeping me aware of other possible venues (yes, it looked that bad), then where the new tent location would be, and finally letting me know when tent was up and settled. Again, total rock stars!
So, yes, we did have to move the tent location but the hurricane stayed off the coast and they had beautiful late summer weather for their wedding day. They were still able to get married with almost 365 degree views of the water. It wasn’t everything they imagined their day to be but I do think it was absolutely gorgeous. (P.S. Make sure you scroll to the bottom and watch their video! Ah-mazing!)
Bettina and JP, thank you for allowing me to be a part a part of your amazing day! <3
