Amy from PhotoChic had approached me about collaborating on a styled shoot back in November. We decided on a winter theme, then a minimalist theme, and then Amy sent me a picture of a gorgeous red dress and we both said “Valentine’s Day”. BUT we also decided we didn’t want to put together the conventional Valentine’s Day shoot with reds and pinks and sparkles. We wanted something a little bit more raw, more heartfelt, more real…

Quite literally everything snowballed from there (great ideas just do that, am I right?) we found an amazing (haunted) venue for the shoot, fell in love with a black lace dress, found two models totally in love with each other (and bonus: this was their actual engagement shoot!), and a dream team of vendors all wove together to make this shoot happen.
