This was definitely one of my favorite styled shoots to design. The funny thing is, it wasn’t my idea! My husband came up with the idea for a Maryland inspired shoot. You see, my mountain grown man has fallen in love with the Chesapeake Bay and I have gladly followed suit. I really can’t imagine living anywhere else now. (Sorry, Connecticut)
The idea behind this shoot was to embrace everything that stood out about Maryland. We had (real, live, feisty) blue crabs, a waterfront location, brown eyed susans, Orange Crushes, Berger cookies, and so many other items. My husband has also fallen in love with waterfowl hunting so for the groom I ordered an amazing bowtie made from duck feathers. This shoot took place on a hot, humid day with the winds whipping; during the shoot we would have to hold the item, wait for the photographer to say she was ready and run out of the shot & just hope it would stay up long enough. Luckily, Hannah is a rockstar and produced some amazing photos.
